The utopia «BOULDER OPAL» imitates the stone of the same name by its resin work. Like everything in nature, the design that the resin draws on the wood is unique. Made on a base of precious wood called “rosewood” or “bois de rose” with a beautiful color that varies between shades of pink, brown and copper red, which recalls the copper part of the resin.

What tone to choose?
All our instruments are tuned in major mode.
Since kalimba scores are encrypted, whatever key you choose, the piece of music will be transposed to the key of your instrument.
The C tuning is only really useful in the case of a playing project with other musical instruments or for writing by ear, with audio support and without a score, your own covers and scores.
The 37K kalimba are mainly available in B Bb and A. The C is VERY rare in this wood, and does not always appear in each batch. We therefore strongly suggest keeping an open mind when choosing tuning if C is not absolutely necessary, to make it easier for you to obtain an instrument.
Each piece of wood being unique, with its small differences in density, we choose the tuning that sounds best after several tests. We therefore advise you to keep this tuning in the future.
