This kalimba has a deep balanced sound between bass and treble. The tone is mostly warm and crisp, with a dark cavernous echo, and touch of light.
MAUI is an abyssal spirit whom will carry you away.
Made of black walnut wood covered with a resin, which creates the illusion of a Hawaiian shore and its 3D waves. Each resin art is unique !
Let yourself be carried by the waves, and dive into the depths of another world.

Which tuning should you choose?
All our instruments are tuned to 440 Hz , major scale. Whichever tuning you choose, you’ll be able to play the same pieces, as kalimba sheet music is written using numbers: the fingerings will remain the same, and the music will sound slightly lower or slightly higher depending on the tuning you choose.
As each piece of wood is unique, with slight variations in density, we select the tuning that sounds best after several tests. We therefore advise against retuning the instrument to a higher pitch. However, it is generally possible to tune it to a lower pitch.
